MICHAEL BREYETTE - STUDIO 1088

Early to Rise 2007
23½ x 18 pastel on pastel paper

As dawn breaks you drift gently between dreams and waking. Slowly you are aroused from your sleep. You are barely aware of the gentle warm touch of a lover's hand. Is it real or imagined? Does it matter? You've already become aroused in another way. It is a much more pleasurable way of transitioning from dreamful bliss to the new day than that of a screeching alarm clock.

Hard Hats 2006
18½ x 23 pastel on pastel paper

While their buddies are busy yelling "BabyýMmm, I want some of that!" to the pretty lady walking down the street, these two find their own mutual attraction to one another.

Distant 2005
18½ x 22¼ pastel on pastel paper

They say hindsight is 20/20. But sometimes we need to contemplate the consequences of our actions, even if we didn't bother to think things through beforehand.

Dunes 2005
24 x 17½ pastel on pastel paper

It is always a nice surprise when a leisurely stroll along the beach turns into a chance encounter with someone more interested in some fun than just working on his tan.

Red, Wet, and Blue 2004
16 x 22 pastel on pastel paper

What could be more patriotic than an All-American Boy washing his car on a July 4th weekend? With a hot body like his, he's sure to be setting off some fireworks tonight.

Buds 2004
19 x 23½ pastel on pastel paper

Just two buds getting together after a hard day of work, tossing back a few beers, and enjoying each others company. Aah... good times.
